took care of

Which are correct:

[color=red]1-He talked to and took care of his father.
2-He took care of and talked to his father.

[color=indigo]3-He took care of and cleaned after his pet.
4-He cleaned after and took care of his pet.

Gratefully,
Navi.

It should be ‘cleaned up after’ (phrasal verb).
I’m not sure you would need ‘talked to and took care of’ or ‘cleaned up after and took care of’ as ‘taking care of’ is an indication that the other actions are taking place.
To me, those sentences add nothing to these:
He took care of his father.
He took care of his pet.
