"Too" before adjective

I’ve seen phrases like that:
These books are too heavy. And I think it’s all right.

But,
I saw that:

These books are too heavy to carry them. And I don’t think it’s all rigth.
Could you correct the second one?

The word ‘them’ should be omitted (unless ‘them’ refers to something that the books should carry – which seems unlikely):

  • These books are too heavy to carry.
