Could someone be so kind as to clarify me whether is more correct to use “in” or “on” before to hold??
Example:
the documents will be kept/maintained IN HOLD, or ON HOLD…

In that context, ‘on’ is the appropriate preposition, though it is simpler to say:
The documents will be held…
