to ever win

Which are correct:

[color=red]1-He is the best player to ever win that title.
[color=blue]2-He is the best player to have won that title.

[color=darkred]3-He is the best player to win that title.
[color=indigo]4-He will be the best player to win that title.

I think “3” does not mean the same as the first two. But I can’t tell what it means, if it does mean anything. It seems to be talking about the future and not the past, unlike the other two, and it resembles:

5-He is the best man to do the job.

So I guess it means he is the player who deserves to win that title…

The meaning of “4” is not quite clear for me either.

Gratefully,
Navi.

I think most people would understand #3 to mean the same as the first two.

#4 doesn’t seem a likely thing to say, and its exact meaning is not very clear, certainly absent any context. Maybe it has an implied but unstated conditional sense of “if he wins”. Maybe it’s conceivable that it could be used between his winning and a subsequent awards ceremony, say.
