to be on God's good humor

There is a phrase in Titanic movie clip: ‘I’m on God’s good humor’. What does it mean?

This expression suggests that I go wherever God decides to send me or wherever by chance I happen to be. There is another similar expression - in the lap of the gods. This means that something is decided by fate. Take this:

Where I shall be this time next year is in the lap of the gods - it will be a matter of fate/luck or chance.
