Tie or draw?

Let’s imagine I measure something (a generic measure. Don’t think it’s height, or something known.) and I get the same result in both measurements.

Should I say it’s a tie or a draw (or is it the same thing)?

I don’t know if one of the meanings is more used in games or if I can use both… Also, is there a (one-word) synonym?

Thanks.

If you measure something and both measurements are the same, you would say something like “Both their heights/weights/lengths are the same or are similar”

Tie or draw is usually used in games and competitions. For example, if two soccer teams played to a 2-2 score, you would say “Both teams drew at the end of the match” or “The game was tied at 2-2 at the end of the match”

Hope it helps!
