The country of Venezuela is situated at the far northeastern corner of the continent of South America. Venezuela is located entirely in the tropics. It is bordered by Brazil to the south, Colombia to the west and Guyana to the southeast.
What makes Venezuela so attractive as an adventure travel and ecotourism destination is the diverse locations that offer unique travel experiences-from Caribbean islands to rainforests to grasslands to mountains
Many thanks for your contributions to the forum - I absolutely agree with you: We are here to share our ideas and develop our English language skills and Witch started this interesting thread by introducing her country to us.
Now, everybody is invited to ask questions about life in Venezuela (and in Kerala too).
I think that free (free of charge) access to information has become a very important factor increasing our standard of living. That’s why I’m interested to know how people in different countries are using the Internet. Witch, what is the situation in Venezuela? How do people use the Internet? What is the price structure for Internet access? What about yourself? How often do you go online?
Drahul, please tell us more about yourself. What do you do in Kerala? Where did you learn English? Have you got any contacts at the University of Kerala?
Talk to you soon,
Torsten
PS: Drahul, could you please do us a favour and spell the personal pronoun [color=blue]you correctly? If you like I can explain my I think this is imporant. Thanks.[YSaerTTEW443543]
ya you are correct, I’ll be careful next time.
I got this habbit thru e-chats and sms messages… find very difficult to avoid sometimes. Also this way of telegraphic scripts has become a fashion in this fast world.
I have’ t introduced myself to anyone, let me intrioduce myself.
I am a software engineer working as a senior associate in Chennai, India. Have been here for 4 years, and love my job as much as I love my family. I speak malayalam. My home town is 550 KM from the place where I am currently working. I did my Engineering (ECE) from REC Trichy (now called National Institute of Technology).
I joined this forum to develop my english vocabulary. I also get lots of opportunities to go to the US to meet our clients. Have been there twice.
The internet in my country in getting better, we have many ways to use it like: you can have it in your office, at your home or also you can go to a cyber and rent one machine for the time you want, regarding to the price it’s like less than 1 dollar per hour, i’m not sure about the speed of the access, let me check it up …here say 10.0mbps is that good? I use internet often (4 days per week) because i like it and it’s very useful to find any information that you need, to get in touch with you family and friends in other country or state (who don’t remind how long do you have to wait until you get an answer for a regular letter uffff) people can use the phone to do it but is more expensive and using internet you even can watch them, and to play and have fun too of course.
Hello everyone,
I would like to introduce my country, which is called Moldova. It is a small (33,843 km?) but a beautiful and independent country, and it is famous for its wine! The total population of Moldova (for the year 2002) is 4,431,570 people. The official language is Moldovian (Romanian). However, most of the people living in Molodva can speak Russian. The capital is Chisinau, it’s a very beautiful town with a lot of beautiful women. It’s population is (for year 2002) 920000 people.
Thank’s for reading about my country I’m glad to hear it, about questions (it isn’t to much questions, you can ask quietly don’t be afraid to asking it is good if one asks).
My mother tongue is Russian but I can a little bit Moldavian :)!
I don’t no what can I tell you more about my country, you can ask me something about it.
And how about you, tell about your country, too. Tell me about Japan ( about Nagano), about your culture, language, tell me about your Eat (what do you like to eat or drink,do you like wine, did you taste Moldavian wine???). Tell me about
yourself, where do study, what are your hobbys (what do you like to do)
It is one of the few provinces in India where almost everyone can read. This was because some king in history thought that literacy would be good for his people, so people in Kerala have been literate for a very long time.
If I have a student in my class who has an Indian first name, but a surname that is the name of a Christian saint or a figure from the Bible, then that student is from Kerala and speaks Malayalam. If a student has an Indian first name and a Portuguese surname, this student is also probably from Kerala and speaks Malayalam.
Benvinguta/welcome! There isn’t much more I can say in Catalan, unfortunately, but I wish I could speak your language, as well as the other communities’. You’ve made a lovely description of Catalonia. Montserrat Monastery and its surroundings are beautiful indeed and well worth visiting. Sitges, too, is a place of its own, I think, though for a complete different mood. A Catalan dish I like particularly is ‘pantomaca’* (don’t laugh!): with a glass of red wine at the elbow, perfect! (I’m not one for Cava, I’m afraid).
Ad?u and visit us often!
Pantomaca: bread (preferably rustic) with olive oil, tomatoes and Serrano (mountain) ham.
I’m also a Catalan (from Girona) and I couldn’t have said it better. I’m just going to add that Barcelona has a world widely known football club, Barça (FCBarcelona) and what Conchita said about pa amb tomàquet (pantomaca), it is a very common Catalan dish made of bread, olive oil, tomatoes and salt. You can add cheese, ham, sausage, chopped, cold meal, omelette,… I’m not fond of cava either.
