This concludes my talk.

Hi,

When I am done giving a speech, is it OK fo rme to end it with the above sentence?

Many thanks,
Cantik

Hi si,

I would not use any such phrase. ‘Thank you for your attention’ is probably good enough.

Here’s some more:

Why not? Is it wrong or just unnatural?

I think it’s fine, especially with a bit more elaboration. This concludes the formal portion of my presentation, and I’m happy to take any of your questions at this point.

Hi, everybody!

What do you think about these endings:

  1. This wraps up my presentation
  2. I have to wrap up my presentation

Thanks !

2 says that some other force is causing you to wrap it up. You’re out of time, the person at the back of the room is waving and telling you to shut up now, something. I wouldn’t say this during a presentation at all. However, if I were planning out the presentation, I may something like “I have to wrap up my presentation with something memorable. Any suggestions for me?”

1 is a less formal way of saying that it concludes your presentation.
