It’s interesting to see how the term ‘think tank’ is translated into different languages. The Russians call a think tank мозговой трест - an analytical center while in German it’s a Denkfabrik - a think factory. Apparently, the Germans love to produce physical things so they use the term ‘factory’ in connection with thinking.
