There's vs. There're

Hi,

I have a question on the sentence below:

There’s me, my parents, and my younger brother.

‘There’s’ bothers me. Shouldn’t it be ‘There’re’ here? I’ve heard that it is okay because the singular ‘me’ is next to ‘There’s’. What do you think?

Thank you in advance,
sweetpumpkin

It is used so often in informal speech that I even hear it without a singular noun/pronoun next to it.
It would not be used formally.

Beeesneees,

  1. There are me, my parents, and my younger brother.
  2. It’s me, my parents, and my younger brother present here.
  3. My parents, my younger brother and I am here.
    Are they OK?
    Thanks.

Could any one answer my queries?
Thanks.
