there is nothing that an uneducated person can teach an educated person

Topic:“agree or disagree: there is nothing that an uneducated person can teach an educated person”

I strongly disagree with this statement that uneducated people cannot teach educated people. If we look at the science history, in past a few people were educated and most of them were illiteracy. For centuries we learnt living style from our fathers with primitive method, and without any book or article. In my opinion, there are a lot of things that we can still learn from uneducated people.

First, I believe the experience is the biggest human teacher in history. We have learnt a lot of things from our experiences. Even, some important inventions have come from these experiences. For instance, how human learnt to use fire or built weapons from sharp stones?

Second, many things exist in the world that the science has not discovered them yet. Practically we are illiterate in these subjects, and in many occasions these so-called uneducated persons can teach us. For example a farmer may know how to remove a special pesticide in his farm based on his experiences, so we can use his knowledge in order to improve our works.

Third, a lot of subjects do not relate to our education. For example ethnic, religion, moral subjects, spiritual issues. In these areas education is nonsense. We should look for experience, and many of this knowledge belong to usual and uneducated people.

In addition, past shows us that science is not always true. If you watch TV, everyday you can hear that scientists from one university discovered something. After a while, other scientists disproved their hypothesis. That is why, you should respect to your illiterate grandmother. Because of her experience, she knows what is true or false.

Finally, I believe science is not exclusive, and you cannot attribute it only to educated people. We can learn even from a child. Then let’s forget our ego, and say welcome to new things.

Your sincerely

I strongly disagree with this statement that uneducated people cannot teach educated people. If we look at the history OF SCIENCE, in THE past ONLY a few people were educated and most of the REMAINDER were illiterate. A difficult topic Reza. You did well to tackle it so vigorously. Your vocabulary is improving and your spelling too. Well done.

Hello Kitosdad,

I was wondering if you could moderate my message to Reza.

Thanks,
Mohammad

Hey Reza,

If I were you, I would write my essay in a different manner.
In my opinion, your reasons for justifying that we can learn from an uneducated person, are badly arguable. I think you have assumed that an uneducated person is someone who has not gone to university or school. Your grandmother is not an uneducated person at all.
Furthermore, as you are a computer engineer and you are familiar with Fuzzy Logic, you can easily understand that ‘uneducated’ is a Fuzzy term. So, with regard to this matter, we can say that even a person who has gone to university can be called uneducated. I mean, we can barely call someone uneducated (As you said so-called uneducated people).
If I were you I would try to use these saying of Loghman:
“I learned respect and dignity from impolite persons”
Then, I would bring some examples for my opinion.

Thanks,
Mohammad,

Well, I’m not Kitos, but…

Then I would bring in some examples of my own opinions.

Note: I have corrected the message as asked. The views expressed are not necessarily mine.

Thank you very much Beesnees.

“I mean, we can barely call someone uneducated (As you said so-called uneducated people).”
I mean that we can not call a person uneducated very easily.

How about…
In actual fact, it is not possible to find someone who is truly completely ‘uneducated’, as we begin learning from the moment we begin experiencing life. I believe this is why you used the phrase ‘so-called uneducated people’.
