the usage of in the morning, in the afternoon

Hi All,

We have a big problem with our mail server and I have to inform my boss what I did and when I did it to solve the problem.

8 a.m. I saw that the server was down
9-12 a.m. I tried to solve it myself
from 12 a.m. the central admin took over the job

With words I would write following, is that OK?

In the morning I saw that the server was down
Till midday I tried to solve it myself or before noon I tried to solve it myself
From lunch time onwards the central admin took over the job or from the early afternoon the central admin took over the job

.
Yes, fine.
