The tune during changing the guard

Hi, some years ago I visited London and watched changing the guard at Buckingham Palace. It was so amazing and I decided to take a video. Unfortunately, I don’t know the name of the tune which was played. Please could you watch the video and identify the music at the background?

This is “I Say A LIttle Prayer”, written by Burt Bacharach.

I think the most famous version was by Dionne Warwick:

But this version by Aretha Franklin is also great:

You are absolutely right. The interesting thing is that when I listened to the melody in Irina’s video without headphones I had trouble making out the tune but now that you have said it’s “I Say A LIttle Prayer” it’s easy to hear. Very interesting.

Thank you very much! I couldn’t imagine that the melody at Buckingham Palace was the adaptation of this song.

Apparently, they perform a variety of pieces: “For Changing the Guard, a full Military Band is provided, usually from one of the Guards Regiments, accompanied by their Director of Music. It performs a variety of music during the handover, ranging from traditional military marches to songs from shows and even familiar pop songs.”

Yes, they even performed ‘What a Wonderful World’!
