I donât know for certain but I think the most common word is probably âthanâ.
In American English itâs âdifferent thanâ while in British English is âdifferent fromâ or âdifferent toâ.
Well they are both used in AmE, but I think âthanâ is probably more common. It might also be regional.
I must be British. I would definitely say âfromâ, though âthanâ does not sound strange.
