the same amount of times

Just a short question to our highly respected teachers.
Does “the same amount of times” mean exactly as “at the same time”?
Ex. Is your goal to make everything picked the same amount of times?

Oh,it came one more thing into my mind:
Does “make picked” mean to perfect/develop sth. giving your best?

P.S. I do apologize for posting such short inquiries.

Hi, Predator. Don’t apologize for short inquiries. I welcome them. :stuck_out_tongue:

“Amount” is used of singular uncountable nouns. It is a noun of degree, extent or fluid quantity. So, although you can have “amount of time,” you cannot have “amount of times.”

But you can have the same number of times. This means an equal number of instances.

If I jump six times after my sister jumps six times, we have jumped the same number of times.

This does not mean “simultaneously,” the meaning of “at the same time.” If we speak in unison, we speak at the same time. If we go to the park together, we go at the same time. If I happen to see a friend at an amusement park, we were there at the same time.

To make things picked the same number of times would mean to make sure each was chosen the same number of times.

Mordant, don’t take it too personally, but I love you :)))))).Thanks for being here all the time and helping me.

You’re welcome. I love you, too, and I love being loved.
