"the rest part" vs "the remaining part"

Hi everybody,
I truly need your help, I have one question would like to ask you
What difference are they between “the rest part” and “the remaining part”
I mean the difference between “rest” and “remain”
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I think we can say “the remaining part” because REMAINING is an adj.,but “the rest part” is strange to me!REST isn’t an adj.,maybe “the rest of …” or “the rest” is correct:
He enjoyed the rest of his vacation.
Carry these 2 bags, and I’ll bring the rest.
Hope this helps!

I’ve never heard that phrase. It presumably refers to what is left after the other portion has been removed.

" I’ve eaten most of the cake, you can have the rest"( which is left-over.)

I think (the rest part) : the part can do it after day or more.
and the ( rem. part) : the part do it in same moment.

just try ! I’m student !!
