Hi Coconut

I’d call that a dressing table.
.

The term you’re looking for, Coconut, is a ‘dressing table’, also called a ‘vanity (table)’ in the US.

Oops! Hadn’t seen your post, Amy!

Hi Conchita

You’re right about the word “vanity”. And sometimes you will find both terms combined:
vanity dressing table

Hi Yankee,

Thank you very much.

Hi Conchita,

Many thanks for you.

Hi Yankee,

Thats mean two words are right and we can combined in one word (vainty dressing table)also (dressing table only without vainty is right)?
Am I right?
By the way your name is Yankee or Amy?

Regatds,
Coconut

Hi Coconut

In the US, I would expect most people to use either “dressing table” or “vanity”. However, the word “vanity” is also used to refer to something you find in most bathrooms – a “bathroom vanity”. To my way of thinking, a vanity in a bathroom would always include a sink.

I’d expect to find a “dressing table” in a bedroom, but not in a bathroom. And I would not expect a “dressing table” to have a sink. However, this is just the way I look at these words and other people might use them a little differently.

My real name is Amy.
One of the reasons I chose “Yankee” as my forum name is that by the time I registered here, someone else had already registered as “Amy”.
.

Hi Amy,

Many thanks for you I realized your meaning, I like your real name

Holy cow, that list is unreal.

I’m so glad to be male. I keep my hair short enough all I need are these. If I have to resort to this, then it’s way past time to visit one of these.

One of these guys, and one of these, and I’m good to go.

and our German members please be warned … WE do not say HAIRS!

If you went to the hairdresser and asked to have your “hairs” cut you would be in for a real SHOCK !!!
