Tort system - in our insurance terminology the word Tort refers to - wrong acts/ wrong doings.
Is this correct?

Wikipedia defines “tort” as follows: a tort is a wrong that involves a breach of a civil duty owed to a person as opposed a contractual duty. For example, false imprisonment is an example of a tort.
