I find this lesson really interesting. Besides the language, this is also a way to know more about a country’s culture and its people’s charateristic. All seems understanable to me, except the last one when you talk about a ‘nameless’ woman. I had to look for the word nameless in the dictionary (is she a woman with no name?), then still it is a question. “She’s more of a cross between the two; pretty ugly.” What is ‘the two’ here, pretty and ugly? So when saying so you must be playing on the word ‘pretty’ when it can be both adjective and adverb. If so before ‘pretty ugly’ it should be a colon instead of a semi colon?. Writing seems much longer than thinking when this thought crosses my mind and I like it as this is a nice way to start a working day. Thank you so much!

Thank you for fascinating essay, some of the sarcastic expressions are very hard to understand for me as we don’t use them often in our daily life. The term of “Over my body you will” have the same meaning of Thai sarcastic expression and the term of “I’ll believe it when I see it” it is in common use, the others are new to me, I think I need to use them with my friends in a humorous way so I can easily remember them.
