The expression "get out"...

Hi everyone,
I’m glad to be writing in here again…long vacation for me (In South America)

Well, my concern is about the expression “Get out”. Probably it has several meanings, but the way I heard it was when someone expressed surprise. I mean it’s like when you see or listen something unexpected and then you say “get out”. However, I’d like to know if I’m close enough to the usage of this expression or I’m mistaken…

Thanks in advance.

Wow! Nobody has replied…Well, I’ll be waiting…
Thanks…

If you say something, and the other person thinks what you’ve said is preposterous, they may say, “Get out!” which is short for, “Get out of here!” It simply means, “I’m surprised, and you’ll need to explain why I should believe you.”
