Hi everyone,
when I hear in the video record, I hear the phrasal verb : take something for granted, would anyone mind helping me. Thank you very much
If you take something for granted, then you just accept it.
‘Can we take the fact that everyone has read the report as granted and move on with the meeting?’ (Can we accept the fact that everyone has read the report).
Sometimes this indicates that you don’t notice something’s existence or use on a day to day basis but if the ‘something’ weren’t there you would actually miss it.
He does so much for her, but she just takes him for granted.
