  • It was warm, so I took off my jacket.

Please explain to me Why above sentence is correct?

Shouldn’t we use took my jacket off?

Either way is right.
You can take an item of clothing off or you can take off an item of clothing.

Remember: you can take it off, but not [color=red]you can take off it.
