‘Someone may knock the bottle down’ should be ‘someone may knock the bottle over’.

That means the original is incorrect.

BN, Can “knock down” be used or it’s totally incorrect?

Knock down’ could be used if you meant knock the bottle from a shelf or table onto the floor, but even then ‘knock over’ would be preferable.
