Stupidness vs. stupidity

Does such a word as stupidness actually exist (despite my dictionary, etc)?

Well sticktly speaking it does. But it takes an awful lot to use it

Hi Tamara,

You could use stupidness by analogy with foolishness and I would say you could use it to refer to one isolated act of stupidity as in: Thanks to my stupidness we ran out of petrol in the middle of the motorway. This is in contrast to being generally stupid if you like which refers to stupidity.

As I do stupid things quite often (and bravely :)), I’ve understood your explanations with ease
