Some technical terms: ETOPS (Extended Twin-engine Operations), etc.

Hello,
Here is the sentence about aviation: ETOPS(Extended Twin-engine Operations) is an acronym defined by ICAO as the ability of a twin-engined commercial transport to fly on a route which has no point further than a distance of 60 minutes flying time from any diversion airports.

I don’t know what is ‘no point’ and ‘diversion airport’ here.

Thank you for your answers

.
No point = nowhere.
Diversion airport = an airport (other than the destination airport) to which the plane could fly in an emergency.
