There isn’t much difference, but “shush” tends to be a bit more commanding whereas “hush” is a bit more gentle.
Mohammad, examples of usage:
Your two kids are quarreling in the car while you are driving. You turn around and say, "Shush you two! Be quiet now, otherwise you’ll receive a whipping when we get home!
"
Shush can be replaced with hush. They have the same meaning.
The difference between “shush!” and “hush!” is similar to the difference between “be quiet!” and “let us be quiet!”.
The latter has a literary or formal air, and is much less common.
The “sh!” scene in Austin Powers would lose its humour with “hush!”.

I seem to remember a lullaby, starting with ‘Hush, little baby, don’t say a word, mama’s going to buy you a mocking bird. And if that mocking bird won’t sing, mama’s going to buy you a diamond ring…’
So, I think ‘hush’ is also used to calm down little babies and children.

I think shush is a fairly new portmanteau (combination of two words) that combines ‘shh!’ with ‘hush!’
