Can I use “prove” here instead of “show” ??

Hi lost_soul

In my opinion, proved or proven would also be OK in the sentence.

I suspect the forum software only allows one correct answer to be programmed in. (But I’m not sure about that.)

However, in this case, it should have been clear that “showed” needed to be changed to “shown” seeing as the past participle of the verb show isn’t as “flexible” as it is for the verb prove.
