Shouldn't there be a comma before "which"?

The 62-year-old from Shanghai, surnamed Ren, suffers from a cognitive disorder which means he cannot communicate with people and lives with his carer sister.

Shouldn’t there be a comma before “which”?

Thanks.

I think due to the length of the sentence there should be a comma after disorder. In a shorter sentence it might be optional.

I’d also be tempted to put another comma after “people” to avoid confusion.

This sentence would be easier to read if it was broken up into two or three sentences.

I would like to add a comma after ‘people’ since the structure changes, and leave the ‘which’ clause as it is since it is a defining clause in the absence of the name of the cognitive disorder.
