Sheet rockers in the UK?

I understand that a “sheet rocker” is dry liner or plasterer in the US. Is this term also used in other parts of the world?[YSaerTTEW443543]

Hi Torsten

I’m not sure whether many “sheet rockers” would know anything about plastering.

I’m not familiar with the term “dry liner”. Are you thinking of a worker who installs “drywall” (a “drywaller”)? Or maybe the term “dry liner” is only used in Britain?

I think a “sheet rocker” and a “drywaller” would be pretty much the same thing in the US.

Hi Amy,

I understand that a sheet rocker fixes ceilings just like a drywaller, who in the UK is called dryliner. At least that’s what I believe.

Here is the text where I came across our sheet rockers:
The first job was to repair the roof and the roofers started the day after the closing. Then we got painters and sheet rockers in there to replace an entire ceiling in one 12x20 foot room.[YSaerTTEW443543]

Hi Torsten

In the US, the sheetrockers/drywallers do all the walls, too.
