Several years experience?

Hi, what is the difference between ‘several years experience’ and ‘several years of experience’ other than one expression contains a preposition and the other doesn’t?

Hi Torsten

The meanings are the same, but I’d also say that several years[color=blue]’ experience should have the possessive apostrophe.
