Several, many - indefinite pronoun or determiner?

  • [Many] of us want to go camping this weekend.

I know [many] function as indefinite pronoun/subject here and [of us] is just the adjective phrase.

  • [Many/Several] scouts are in the stands at tonight’s game.

The way I see this… [many/several] function as adjective(determiner) right?

It determines how much scouts are there - w/c is “many/several” scouts. Gramatically speaking, it is similar to saying seven or eight scouts are there.

Did I get it right?

Yes, I think that’s right.

(However, I don’t understand what you mean by “w/c”.)
