Sentence: Below is a quote that one of the repair shops has/have given me

Hello,

Should i use has or have for the following sentence

Below is a quote that one of the repair shops has/have given me.

Hi,

Note the word ‘one’ in your sentence:

As ‘one’ is singular, the verb will reflect this and should be ‘has’.

Alan

Thanks

what if i were to change the sentence to:

Below is a quote one of the repair shops THAT has/have given me.

then i should use HAVE right?

It’d still be singular. (One … has given me.)[YSaerTTEW443543]

Hi Ched,

I think you need to change your second sentence from:

to:

Below is a quote that one of the repair shops has given me.
