John asked me to send his regards to Mark.
Now how would you convey that to Mark?
Is this right-
“John asked me to send his regards to you”
But I usually see people telling-
“John sends his regards”
Also is this necessary-“to you” ?
Can I tell like-
“John sends his regards to you”
?
Thanks a lot
What you hear - John sends his regards - is fine. Adding ‘to you’ sounds unusual unless you are going to say something like ‘… to you and your family.’
Confused about why John can’t send regards to me only? Redundancy?
Beeesneees,
Can I say: “John conveyed his regards to you an your family.”?
What is your thinking behind choosing the past tense? It would not usually be correct,
… you and your family
Beeesneees,
Is it correct to say: “Convey my regards to your family.”?
