School diary.

Hi all of you,

Do teachers in the UK use the term school diary? Because English teachers over here always say to students: ‘Take your school diaries.’ A school diary is some sort of book in which students write down the subject matter of a class/their homework for the next day and so on.

Is school diary correct? If not, then what is the correct word in English?

Thanks
Alex

‘Homework Diary’ seems to be a standard phrase.
