Please check my essay! Thanks a lot in advance, Mr. Kitos!
I prefer to save money for my later life rather than spending all my money on traveling and vacation. This is because if I save my money today, I can spend it later in cases I need money to spend on, especially in important or urgent circumstances.
Admittedly, there is an old saying that states, “You cannot bring your money when you die”. It is definitely true, since when you die, you leave every tangible thing–your assets, your properties, and so on-- behind you. Hence, some people assert that they should spend their money whenever they can, provided it will make them happy. In other words, they think money should be spent on things that bring them happy-- traveling and vacation, for example. In addition, they argue that nobody can predict how their lives in the future will be; maybe on tomorrow, you will die; therefore, you will not have more chance to enjoy their monetary pleasures. For these reasons, they crave for spending money on the things that could bring them satisfactions.
However, saving money is more important to me. Honestly, my family is not rich, and we have a lot of things to do. Those things are quite common such as paying my tuition fees and other living expenses, building my house, not to mention contingent expenses: hospital fees, medicines, and injuries later in life. If I spend all the money I have on vacation and traveling, it would be very difficult for me in the future. Otherwise, with a great deal of money in my saving account, not only can I use it whenever I want, but I can get benefit from it, thanks to its compound interest. My life will also be easier and more comfortable when I get older. For instance, I can have money to help my children to buy a new house, and spend on my pleasure things like caring pets, fishing, or gardening. Thus, I reckon that saving money today is investing money for the future.
In conclusion, I think people should focus on what really matters right now and spend their money wisely, so that they can enjoy their lives in the present and in the future.
