savage [modern word or old-fashioned?]

Hello,

I’m looking for an impolite word with this definition: [color=blue]a very offensive word for someone who has a simple, traditional way of life. I found this word in the dictionary: “savage”

But Longman dictionary says it’s an old-fashioned word.

Do you agree that it’s old-fashioned? Isn’t it used these days? If it’s old-fashioned then what word is common to have
this meaning that you hear among impolite conversations?

‘Savage’ in terms of a lifestyle indicates a primitive, uncivilised way of life. That is not the same as a simple, traditional way of life. The word does not appear to suit your purpose for that reason. Also, it is not particularly impolite.
