I’m an ESL student who has been in the US since January.
I’ve been studying for the SAT since March (I have no idea about it when i started to study) and i took my 1st SAT in June.
Following is my score:
CR:500
Math:750
Writing :600
it’s 1850 in total.
However, i’d like to score at least 2100 to get into a good uni.
I’ve been brushing up on my reading skill and studying vocab for the whole summer.
Does anyone know any site that offers audio vocab files for free?
I found some websites with good stuff, but they’re so expensive (i dont wanna use them for studying, but just for reviewing because i have many vocab books already :D)
I’ll retake it in next Oct. then.
I wish i had more time because i’ll be a senior next year.[/img]
Hi DucDang,
Please help other learners by using correct punctuation (sentence beginnings and the pronoun ‘I’) consistently. Thanks.
Hello DucDang,
I’m glad to see that you are wanting to score higher on your SAT’s Have you looked at sites likes freevocabulary.com or satvocab.com? I just ran across one the other day and I must say that it trumps all of the others.
The name of the site is Vocabahead.com and they have great SAT Vocabulary and SAT Preparation courses. I know some students that have used these types of systems and scored higher than they ever imagined.
Please let me know if you need any more resources or help.
vocabcharity.com/ helps and is free.
Hi,
wordstash.com / WordStash.com is a great free resource. It allows you to create your own flash cards and quiz yourself. There are also sentences for each word from real news sources that provide invaluable contextual meaning.
