Revolve

to rotate; to turn; to spin; to encircle; to think about; to contemplate

The words/phrases above are the definition of the verb revolve. While I was visiting this site, I had my eyes fall on the row of the words at the top of the screen.

My question:
1) Does the verb revolve take the gerund when it has 5th or/and 6th meaning in a row?

 Thanks.

Sorry, I don’t understand the question.

I think he wanted to know whether we can use “revolve + verb-ing” when “to revolve” means “to contemplate, ponder on”.

He revolved in his mind the possibility of escape.
He revolved escaping from prison.

Take a look at this definition of ‘revolve’:
consider (something) repeatedly and from different angles.
“her mind revolved the possibilities”
synonyms: think about, give thought to, consider, reflect on, mull over, contemplate, study, meditate on, muse on, think over, think on, deliberate about/on, cogitate about/on, dwell on, brood on/over, agonize over, worry about, ruminate about/on/over, chew over, puzzle over, speculate about, weigh up, review, turn over; (archaic) pore on
“they were revolving various thoughts in their minds”

Personally, I find that usage rather strange and suspect it might have evolved or fallen out of fashion over the years. I would be inclined to change your examples to:
His mind revolved with thoughts of escape.
He contemplated escaping from prison.
