reticence vs. resistance

Hi, what would you say is the difference between reticence and resistance? As far as I understand when you are reticent, you are just unwilling to do something but you might concede reluctantly while if you are resistant you don’t concede.

Is that about right?

Many thanks,

“reticence” is more about being not very communicative or forthcoming than being unwilling to do something. The usual word for “unwilling to do something, but you might concede” is the one you mentioned: “reluctant”.
