Is a religious testimony only used with reference to Christianity? In other words, Christians give a testimony when they talk about the benefits they have experienced through their Christian practice.
What about other religions?
Can “testimony” be used regarding another religion?
Thanks!

Testimony is a general term that can be used in any context or religion. I think a religious testimony is mainly used in certain denominations of Christianity. But since it’s a general term, nothing prevents it from being used in other religions.
I think even in Christianity, it’s only commonly used in a minority of denominations, specifically some of the evangelical denominations.
The "New Testament " of the Bible is the same root word. It’s the basis of all Christianity.
Probably the most common use of the word ‘testimony’ is in law. For example a witness to a crime ‘testifies’ (gives testimony) in court.
