On Android sounds better to me.

Keep in mind that modern technical language is new. People make it up as they go. The choice of preposition is simply a matter of which one is most commonly used.

Sometimes it changes. 30-40 years ago it was more common to say “At the computer”: Now people normally say “On the computer”.
