I would like to ask your help. I began to read out my articles before yesterday. When I first read I couldn’t finish. So I try to read out more quickly and I managed to finish during 9:20 minutes.
Now I wanted to read out the second one. As it is a longer article I cut it into two parts. When I wanted to begin to read out it the JAVA wrote that I could record only 1 minute. I believed that it is some error. I tried twice and I could read out for 1 minute. This is a great difficulty for me.
What could happen with my Java? Till now this kind of problem never was with it. Can you give me some advice?
I wrote here because I didn’t want to intrude into an other thread.
“Maximum record time for free version is 60 seconds.
Set “maxRecordTime” parameter to less than or equal to 60
V1.99.10beta (build 479, Thu Mar 15 00:00:00 CET 2012)”
As I wrote the technician downloaded a new version. I tried to record but again this appeared. Maximum record time for free version is 60 seconds.
Set “maxRecordTime” parameter to less than or equal to 60
V1.99.10beta (build 479, Thu Mar 15 00:00:00 CET 2012)
My question is that is normal? Please answer me, because I have to speak with my technician and tell him that with the new version this restriction appears.
Hi Kati, the restriction shouldn’t be there. It might occur once after the version update and when you confirm it, the message should disappear.[YSaerTTEW443543]
I want to say that I’m encountering the same problem Kati Svaby is encountering! I had to record 10 voice messages whereas I was able to do that in one or two messages in the past (4 days ago to be accurate!)
I think there are new regulations set by Java developers! Could you please check this problem! Because limiting the time for 60 secs is inefficient at all!
Many thanks for your help. I try to record if it won’t be successful there can be some mistakes with this laptop.
Regards:
Kati
Unfortunately I couldn’t record. Tomorrow I am giving it to a technician.
It had been written the same text: Maximum record time for free version is 60 seconds.
Set “maxRecordTime” parameter to less than or equal to 60
V1.99.10beta (build 479, Thu Mar 15 00:00:00 CET 2012)
And some plugins “collapsed” also. It is good that you tried it for me, you also.
Don’t give your laptop to a technician. It won’t make any difference. It is not your laptop. Everyone is getting the same message.
It looks as if a new limit has been put on the application by the company who make the Sound Recorder software.
(Either that or the technical team at English-test.net are trying a new ‘Sound Recorder’ application, but I doubt this as it looks exactly like the other one.)
We updated the recorder installing a new beta version. As it turns out, this version comes with the 60 second recording limit. We’ll revert back to the previous version so the time limit will be removed again. Sorry for the inconvenience.[YSaerTTEW443543]
I was thinking me also, that Yuri wrote me that it was very difficult to read out my message for him also, then it can be the mistakes in my laptop, but somewhere who knows where.
Many thanks for your helping. I am waiting and I won’t take it to the technician.
Unfortunately I don’t have good news.
I tried to record this message. This happened. 1. click red mic 2. Immediately the well known text appeared . It is sent by JavaSonic Alert Maximum record time for free version is 60 seconds.
Set “maxRecordTime” parameter to less than or equal to 60
V1.99.10beta (build 479, Thu Mar 15 00:00:00 CET 2012) 3.Plugin problems 4. On the record place( at left) the emblem begins turns around- you can’t wait for the end of its turning.
While it is turning I can’t record and if it is stop turning ( can be a half an hour) I can record only for 1 minute.
The shortness of the recording time reminds me of the BBC radio panel game - Just a Minute. In that programme you have to speak on a topic “without repetition, hesitation or deviation”. Good idea!
When somebody is under the weather because I can’t manage to do the things. Your famous humour could make me laugh. It was good to laugh. Many thanks for it.
