Reconcile in active voice

Dear Friends

Can we use the word “Reconcile” in active voice? See below, please.

1- He will soon reconcile with her. (The intended meaning is that he will appease her, cool her down or make up with her.)

Tom

Hi Tom,

In your sentence it would sound better to say:

He will soon be reconciled with her.

We can also say: He will soon be recociled to the idea that …

In both cases is the idea that there will be an acceptance.an agreement/a compromise reached.

Reconcile in an active sense (with a direct object) is to make two opposed factors agree. This is often used in this sort of expression: reconcile your differences. Againit is used in calculations where you have to make sure that two sets of financial calculations agree with each other.
