Recently versus Lately (I have seen her lately)

Hi,
Please choose the correct answers:

  1. I have seen her lately.
  2. I have seen her recently.
  3. I haven’t seen her lately.
  4. I haven’t seen her recently.
  5. I didn’t see her as lately as last Sunday.
  6. I didn’t see her as recently as last Sunday.

All are correct? If all are correct, please tell me what sentences are more usual?
Thanks
K

Hi,

  1. I didn’t see her as lately as last Sunday. [color=blue] What context did you have in mind?
  2. I didn’t see her as recently as last Sunday. [color=blue] What context did you have in mind?

Last Sunday, I saw her. From then to now, I haven’t seen her any more.

[color=red]That is definitely NOT what those two sentences mean.

Last Sunday, I saw her. From then to now, I haven’t seen her any more.= I saw her last Sunday, but I haven’t seen her since that day.

The only possible meaning that these 2 sentences could have is:
I did not see her last Sunday. The last time I saw her was some time before last Sunday.

Hi Amy,

The use of “lately” and “recently” in:

I didn’t see her as lately as last Sunday.

and

I didn’t see her as recently as last Sunday.

are correct?

Thanks
K
