Please explain the deffrence between “put the plates OVER the table” and “put the plates OVER the table”

Oops! Sorry for the typo, I wanted to know the deffrence between “put the plates ON the table” and “put the plates OVER the table”.

I want to know the answer also…

The correct option is ‘put the plates on the table’ because ‘putting the plates over the table’ doesn’t make sense. It would mean to put the plates above the table so that they don’t touch the table.[YSaerTTEW443543]
