Pronunciation of obviously. Is it really necessary to pronounce the 'b' in the word

Is it really necessary to pronounce the letter ‘b’ in obvious(ly)? Most of the time I can’t hear it.

If you want to pronounce the word correctly you can’t skip the ‘b’ sound: obviously - Google Search

It may well be ‘easier to omit letters from many words. The trouble is that if do this too often, you start to downgrade spoken English and make yourself more difficult to understand.

I’m sorry Torsten, I didn’t read your post thoroughly. Ofcourse, you need to pronounce ‘b’, but in the example of google I didn’t hear it quite well, although it was there. Thank you Alan.
