Pressure versus Tension

Hi!

If any body is stressed does he/she suffer pressure or tension? :? Is there any way of differing that?

I wonder that question since I came across both expressions. Now I would enjoy some enlightning regarding this issue.

Thanks in advance!

In my mind, pressure comes from outside, and tension is its effect.

A stressed person is certainly in a stressful situation, and it may be because of the pressure of work or time constraints or even of deadlines one has set oneself. On the other hand, the stress may be just the result of inner tension– angst or an inability to cope with societal demands or a congenital nervousness.

This may be just a personal perception.
