Poverty in the United States is more rare than most people realize.
The threshold they use to determine poverty is a joke. It’s completely absurd. Someone at the so-called poverty level can easily live a lower middle class lifestyle.
I can live at half the so-called poverty level with a roof over my head, plenty to eat and a lot of amenities and luxuries.
