Hello everybody
-My message will be short, I hope ( meaning that I would be able to write a short stuff here).
Your site is great and supposed to help people like me to learn English grammar and listen to useful English materials- wich is wonderful .
I have a daughter. Her name is Alina. To read great books is our common passion. What is yours?
There is a dove that comes every day to my window waiting for me to put some wheat there. Its appetite is spectacular. It has a mate. Their plumage is brown.
-Homophones and homonyms are that words that make the puns. I love puns and I think it’s a very good method/instrument to learn English such as: Stir-fry cooks come from all woks of life; The fish missed the call because he was stuck on the other line.
Have a nice weekend,
Daria

Hello Torsten,
After the very interesting debate between Naufragis and you, and after Bruce’s and FrankU’s remarks it’s difficult to come back to everyday exercises. Before beginning my exercise I have to say if Naufragis painted this little portrait he could be a good artist.I would ask him this is his work or a reproduction of another painter? This picture is an expressive work it can be contemporary work but can be an earlier expressive painzer’s work.Which one is right? Naufragis could say that.

My topic concerning different use.
I’ll give your questions some thought.
I am waiting his separate message.
Her problem to use her known basics in the right way.
I am seeing this little picture and its colors and its character and I think who painted this can love Franz Hals and Soutine.

Our answer too long it is better to write small answers.
I enjoyed your debate .
I could follow their thoughts.

Best wishes:
Kati Svaby

Thanks a lot and wait for your next…

thank you very much

Good morning dear Torsten and other classmate, (if it’s morning by your local time).

I’m Meltaif from Sudan; I have been developing my language skills in this wonderful place since 30, Jan 2010.
Up to this moment I’d say confidently, I’m doing my best. I use to do much better in the tests you’re always sending to me through e-mail, even sometimes I’m practicing beyond the lesson that I should stick with.

I learned a lot of things from you and from my classmate, its so interesting when you could read what the other says in English and try to notice their faults. It’s highly valuable to develop yourselves from ‘both-side’ teachers & classmate isn’t it.

Finally, I’m really surprised about English-test.net team keenness in making English Language easy and tolerance for non-native English speakers like myself.

Thank you for the tremendous effort,
Meltaif

Hi Mr torsten,

My name is feyikemi, i’m a new member. This is my second time of attending your lecture. I just completed possessive adjectives -unit 4. But i use to have challenges on how to use past tense, present participle, past participle, and also been, being, have, has, had, have been, has been, had been etc. and is there anything like HAVE BEING, HAS BEING, HAD BEING

hi it,s me ghazal i,ve just started with u. i,m a english students & not a beginner in university i was hoping if u help me in writting & paraphrasing ( you know topic sentencec& so on)because i have difficulty in it.thank u.

Dear Torsen,
I am glad to say that I am familiar with all those constructs provided by to me, till this moment. I think I need course for experts. Actually I am an student of B. Tech final year so I want to build my vocabulary up and seeking some other kind of courses on English. Would you please suggest me any?

With Thanks,
Shashi Bhardawaj

thanks for the lesson Mr toreston

many thanks

Dear Torsten,

I didn’t give up.I rather over-fulfilled it.This day I was listening to audio materials about four hours.Yesterday evening when I went to bed I listened the BBC 7- what I had been recording on Sunday morning 10:00-11:15 am; it was a short story- and I began to understand it’s about a woman who is fed up with her family, with her children and husband. It seams very interesting, I won’t rest until I understand it totally with lot of listening.

Today the first thing was a hit song , its title " I’m sorry" ,Brenda Lee, the famous pop-singer sang it in the sixties.
The second was “Massive earthquake in Chile” from the World Update Television news.It was subtitling in English, it was easier to understand but I heard it till I could understand without subtitling.
The third was a practical audio material with subtitling. Its title was: " How to make a sandbag " It was very useful because its technical expressions can use in day-to-day conversation. I didn’t abandon its hearing till I understand without watching the subtitling.

I don’t know that I ought to send this letter on this page?
If not, please write me where I send the next.

Thank you.
Best regards:
Kati Svaby

Hi Torsten,

I like your english lesson, they are really interesting, I’m work in a factory it’s a dental factory, My job is a little stressed by I like it.

My boss is a nice person, his daughter works in the factory too.

My mother is a quiet person but she likes to make things with her hands.

I have 3 sisters older than me, they have children. All their children are in the school.

Well that are some sentences for practices.

Good Night

this is my pen.
it’s parker
its colour is red
its ink is blue. am i right?

Dear Torsten, thanks a lot for the e.mail lessons. So far Im practising as much as I can.
I discover that I had some difficulties with the “hear and listen”.
I found these lessons very useful. I want to read stories, because I want to increase my vocabulary. Sometimes I don’t have a clear idea when to use the verb ended in ing. I mean not as a verb, in a continuos tense. But for example…I like reading. He can´t hearing because he is too far. Thanks a lot! best regards,
Cynthik
