Emissions from traffic and industrial production and waste have polluted the environment in many places. The negative consequences for people‘s health and quality of life are undeniable. Individuals, the industry and the government need to work together to take measures against this serious impairment.

Environmental pollution cause several severe problems for everyone. To begin, pollution directly affects people‘s health by causing disease like asthma or allergies. Also, vital resources like drinking water or food can be contaminated by poisonous waste or emissions. Eating food affected by pollution can lead to acute and chronic health problems. Polluted areas are also less inviting for tourists to visit and or to spend one‘s spare time outdoors. All in all, a clean environment enhances people‘s quality of life on many levels.

There is a range of possible solutions to limit and clean up the consequences of environmental pollution. Our daily choices about how we travel can make a huge difference for the environment. Using one‘s bicycle or public transport is much more environmental friendly than taking a car. If the government can make public transport available and attractive people are more likely to use it. Another import point is waste produced by private households and industrial production. Some waste can be recycled or avoided altogether. It is vital to have regulations to encourage corporations to use of filtering and cleaning for industrial waste and emissions.

In conclusion, pollution is a common issue which causes health problems and impacts natural resources. Encouraging the use of public transport, recycling of waste and filtering technology for emissions can contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment.
